The objective here was to write a simple song. The rhyme scheme is very straight forward having everything rhyme with deception, but to me that kind of makes it fun to play. The song is mainly about issues with trust I was having with various friends at the time. Once upon a time I was very quick to give out my trust and hospitality to anyone. After feeling the knife in my back so many times people should understand why I’ve changed so much.

All I ever seem to ever find is just more contradictions
So many ones I know that know how to hide deception
I never knew I’d be the one to procreate my own defection
