These lyrics were written for an 11th grade English assignment. The lyrics were song over a WIP Wolf-Hybrid song called Fallen Ambitions. We were content with the lyrics but the vocals turned out terrible. Maybe I’ll use these again for another song.

(verse)

Watching from a distance he never let her go
He soon realized he had nothing to show
The uniform was not enough ‘Cause she wanted it all…
And he had nothing but himself
What was a poor boy supposed to do?

(Pre-chorus)

Rich girls don’t marry poor boys she said
Rich girls don’t marry poor boys she said
The war hero couldn’t satisfy her

(chorus)

And he gave her it all (but at what price?)
And she let him fall (he would not suffice)

They said here falls a killer
But I know he died a lover

Rich girls don’t date poor boys she said
Rich girls don’t date poor boys she said
What was a poor boy supposed to do?

(bridge)

And she slipped away
‘Cause he couldn’t stay and
Give her all things she didn’t need
In a time where the poor get poorer and the rich get richer
A desperate man will take his chances above the law

(chorus)

And he gave her it all (but at what price?)
And she let him fall (he would not suffice)

They said here falls a killer
But I know he died a lover
They’ll say what they
And I’ll know who he was
They’ll remember him as a bad man
But I’ll always know he was my friend
